The light was perfect to take this family to one of my favorite spots for custom family portrait sessions; the rooftop of the parking garage on the corner.
On Saturday, February 6 we held our second “I EXTRA Love you” portrait session. In collaboration with my good friend Daniela Roeder, over 50 amazing individuals with Down Syndrome came to the studio to be photographed. The portraits will be on display during downtown Hollywood’s ArtWalk on Saturday March 19, from 7-10pm at Gallery 2014 in celebration of World Down Syndrome Day. It’s a family friendly event. Spring is almost here and it’s a great time to schedule your custom portrait session at the studio. We have lots of new backdrops and fun chairs.

Happy First Birthday Miss Leah. Leah’s first birthday portrait session was the third time she’s been to the studio this year. Mom and Dad took advantage of the studio’s “Pick 3” portrait package. Three sessions over 12 months. I met her as a newborn, again at six months, and just recently to celebrate her first birthday. I first met Jeff and Todd in early 2014, when I photographed their family for Equality Florida. Jeff and Todd were one of the 6 Plaintiff couples that sued the Miami Dade Clerk of Courts, for the right to be married. This was the first case of its kind to be filed in Florida. In January of 2015, they WON, and the judge was the first to lift her stay making Miami Dade the first county in Florida to allow same sex marriage. Todd and Jeff were one of the first two couples to marry in the state. Fast forward one year, and I had the absolute pleasure of capturing their wedding celebration at the absolutely fabulous Thompsom Miami Beach. Along with their son Blake, these men are rock stars. It’s been such an honor to be along for this ride. I wish you all the best.

Avery & Rosie, two adorable sisters, came with their mama for a play date at the studio. This was their third visit to see me, and of course it was fabulous as always.

My little brother married the gorgeous love of his life in October at the Marriot Harbor Beach in Ft. Lauderdale. I was lucky enough to be the photographer. There’s nothing better than giving the gift of photography to those that I love the most.
