I first met Jeff and Todd in early 2014, when I photographed their family for Equality Florida. Jeff and Todd were one of the 6 Plaintiff couples that sued the Miami Dade Clerk of Courts, for the right to be married. This was the first case of its kind to be filed in Florida. In January of 2015, they WON, and the judge was the first to lift her stay making Miami Dade the first county in Florida to allow same sex marriage. Todd and Jeff were one of the first two couples to marry in the state. Fast forward one year, and I had the absolute pleasure of capturing their wedding celebration at the absolutely fabulous Thompsom Miami Beach. Along with their son Blake, these men are rock stars. It’s been such an honor to be along for this ride. I wish you all the best.

This gorgeous girlie has more personality in her pinky than most adults have in their entirety. She’s smart, funny, and super motivated. We’re going to see alot from Joey, I can just feel it.
Portrait sessions for 2015 have officially come to a close. I feel like elves in Santa’s workshop as we hurry to get prints and holiday cards out all of our amazing clients. If you missed the portrait boat for this year, don’t worry. We are currently booking custom portrait sessions both in the studio and on location starting in January. Family portraits make the most perfect New Year’s resolution.

MY KIDS! Owen, Stella & Charlotte. I get one opportunity for a real portrait session once a year. These are my favorites from our yearly session for our holiday card. Boy do I love these kiddos.

Senior portraits have come a looooooong way, since I was photographed for my senior class yearbook portrait. (c/o 95) Remember the feather boa while holding the fake red rose? Well times have definitely changed. Welcome class of 2015. These girls came to play with Sally (of Smash Beauty Lounge fame) and I last week. Together we collaborated on a series of Senior Portraits that truly mirrored the personality, style, and friendship of the four high school seniors from University School.

Meet Jordan and Sydney; two completely stunning sisters. Need I say more? Their mom won this session and a framed/signed 8×10 print during the voting for the South Florida Parenting Kids Crown Awards. I awarded one session each week during the voting to thank everyone for their support. Which must have worked because the studio WON!!! “Judges Choice: Best Family Photography in Broward”.
The studio will be closed the last week of July for vacation. We will be back in the saddle on Monday, August 4.
Today marks a very special and monumental day for 6 very special families. The case of Pareto v. Ruvin had a hearing at the County Courthouse in Miami Dade County. In this case 6 same sex couples and Equality Florida Institute filed a law suit seeking the right to marry in the state of Florida. The right to Marriage Equality. (Read more about the case here.) In my business, “families” are at the core of what I do. I love to capture the love and relationships between parents and children, and this is exactly what I do. I collaborated with Equality Florida Institute and photographed 5 of the 6 plaintiffs in the case, or rather 5 of the 6 “families”. I’m proud to use my photography to support a cause that is near and dear to my heart.

Inspiration starts here! The 9-Grid is one of the studio’s most popular wall galleries. I love it for a couple of reasons.
#1. You can make a large design impact in a room, with limited space, all while showcasing 9 images! That’s pretty amazing. The squares are either 8×8 or 12×12. Total wall space required is 30×30 (including space between the portraits) for the 8×8 and 42×42 total for the 12×12 in squares
#2. The design is extremely flexible. In the future the arrangement can be broken down into smaller groupings or single portraits can be hung throughout your home.
You definitely get the biggest bang for your buck.
