We are honoring MOM in the studio this spring. We are featuring our favorite Mom and Kiddo portraits each day between now and Mother’s Day on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. You can follow along with the #momoftheday hashtag. We will also feature them here once a week on the blog.
The April Newsletter went live last week. Read it here.
We’re in studio Monday – Friday 9:00-1:30 and by appointment. Although it’s always best to give us a call before stopping by.
We are in the spirit of Mother’s Day here in the studio. Moms, come in and be photographed WITH your kiddos now until Mother’s Day and receive a complimentary frame upgrade with a 5×7 gift print purchase. Framed gift prints (5×7 and smaller) make fabulous Mother’s Day Gifts for both YOU and YOUR MOM. Gift certificates purchased for a special Mom will also receive the frame upgrade.
Love this special Mommy Daughter lifestyle session. See more here. Mom is owner of Give Wink, South Florida’s Premier Baby and Kid boutique.
There is no doubt that a beautiful frame adds a classic touch to portrait photography. At Courtney Studios, we offer a line of 8 distinct frame styles to compliment your portrait art. These three framed 11×14 prints will hang proudly in the family room. Can you imagine the smile it will put on “mom’s” face each time she walks into the room?

I love these portraits. They were taken in the new natural light studio and this handsome little one is bathed in the most beautiful light and the love of his mama and dad.
This Saturday, March 21 is World Down Syndrome Day and the premier of “i EXTRA love you”: a collaborative photography portrait project between Courtney Studios, artist Alissa Alfonso and The Broward Gold Coast Down Syndrome Association. “i EXTRA love you” showcases what makes a person with Down Syndrome truly so “extra”, in reference to the extra 21 chromosome that is inherent in people with Down Syndrome. The exhibit will be on display at Gallery 2014 in Downtown Hollywood (2014 Harrison St) this Saturday from 7-10.

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who came out to support the Grand Opening of Courtney Studios. The event was beyond my expectations. A special Thank you to
The support of the local business community and the City of Hollywood have been amazing. I really felt the love that day.
With that the studio is officially open! We are there “most days” from 9-1. It’s best to always give us a call first, but we’d love to have you stop by.
A huge thank you to Paradox Creates for the amazing new logo, website, and complete new brand. This whole experience which started in mid October, with my first sit down meeting with Ambert and Melissa has been completely mind blowing…and exciting, stressful, but 100% a completely fulfilling experience…An evolutionary journey of sorts. I’m extremely proud of what we created. Paradox took the wheel and steered me in a direction that I never knew I wanted to go, but am so happy with where we went. Check out the new website. There’s lots to see.
We’re still gearing up for the official Grand Opening/Ribbon Cutting on Thursday, February 19 from 5-7. What better way to celebrate than with a contest.
Leave a raving review on the Courtney Studios Facebook page and be entered to win a Family Portrait Session at the new Courtney Studios with an 8×10 framed signed print. The winner will be announced at the Ribbon Cutting on February 19. You don’t have to be present to win.
I am so proud and excited to share with you a project that I have been working on for the past few months. I believe that photography is best enjoyed when printed and everyone deserves to live with amazing pieces of portrait art. Along with the talented designers at Design Aglow, we have created our “Wall Gallery Inspiration Guide”. Our inspiration guide features our new line of custom frames in five of my studio’s most popular wall gallery arrangements and is available for FREE exclusively to newsletter subscribers. The wall galleries showcased in the guide are all comprised of standard size frames that are readily available from your favorite places to shop (Target right?!), complete with frame sizes and total gallery dimensions. I know first hand how overwhelming creating gorgeous wall displays in your home can be. Now if only the Wall Gallery Inspiration Guide could choose your images for you. Hhhhmmmmmmm
The Guide is yours, as an instant download, when you subscribe to the Courtney Ortiz Photography newsletter. The October issue goes out tomorrow, and there are tons of great specials that I promise you won’t want to miss. If you already subscribe to the newsletter, your link to the Wall Gallery Inspiration Guide will be in your inbox tomorrow. Keep an eye out for it.
I love how our Guide can be used by everyone, in any home or setting, and with any photographs. I’m passionate about photography as an art form and I want to share that passion with you.
