Tyler, Andrew and their mom and dad are moving to Pennsylvania. Mom, who is very involved in the local community, wanted to make sure she created an heirloom for her boys of their hometown. “You can take the girl out of Hollywood, but you can’t take Hollywood out of the girl.” I sure can attest to that.
We are now taking commissions for custom portrait sessions in Downtown Hollywood.
I truly have a thing for twins. Dylan and Vaughn are the coolest, most laid back kids I’ve ever met. Their cool personalities totally match their very cool names. This is the second time I’ve photographed these twins. It’s amazing how much “older” they look now than they did a year and a half ago. It really has me looking forward to seeing them again for their next session.
So I’m a few days late with a Thanksgiving post here at the studio. Over the last two months, since October 1, I have photographed 52 families with 5 left to finish out the year. 2012 has truly been a banner year here at courtney ortiz photography, and its because of this that I am truly thankful. It’s because of a relationships built on trust and dedication that continues to bring new and returning clients through our doors. I’m thankful to work with a great team that enables me to live out a dream; to create portrait art for families to enjoy and cherish forever. Since we have been very MIA here on the blog over the last few weeks, and the holiday crazies are starting to wind down, we will be showcasing these amazing 57 families from now until the beginning of the year. We will be sharing not just their digital portraits, but presenting their final fine art pieces. Photography is in fact an art to enjoy with both your eyes and your heart.
Meet Sabrina and Jayde, two new clients this season who welcomed me into their home and gave me the creative opportunity to tell their story.
There are no words for this portrait. I spent some time with a family this weekend for their custom portrait session. Can you say 30×40 gallery wrap canvas?
I first photographed Maddie last year, and let me tell you, she was one tough nut to crack. Fast forward one year and one baby sister later, and Maddie was just full of smiles! Just two quick sneak peaks from our lifestyle session on Hollywood Beach.
Collaborative shoots are truly some of my favorites, and Adam’s bar mitzvah portrait session was truly a collaborative effort between Adam, his parents, and myself. His dad actually works in the Wynwood neighborhood in Miami and was really able to show me around. I’m looking forward to photographing his bar mitzvah in October; a basketball tournament to say the least! 100% out of the box and I love it!
Speaking of Wynwood in Miami, we will be offering one afternoon of sessions in Wynwood on October 20. 30 minutes in an amazing urban backdrop. $175. The colors and textures are fabulous and translate into fabulous pieces of art for your home. Email or call the studio for more information.
To say Twyla is “loved” would be an understatement. I spent a morning running around with this adorable family on the rooftop of a parking garage in Downtown Hollywood. They are getting ready to move cross country to California. I was so flattered to capture them here before they embark on this new adventure.
Just a reminder, Downtown Hollywood mini session dates are now available.
