All in the Family | Ft. Lauderdale Family Photographer
I met this family in downtown Ft. Lauderdale. Not only did I capture these gorgeous twin brothers, but their cousins even jumped in for a few shots as well.

One of my favorite sessions to date. All three kids are equally photogenic and comfortable in front of the camera. You’ll also see this family in the February issue of the Hollywood Gazette as the courtney ortiz photography “Family of the Month.”
In studio news, we’re really keeping our fingers crossed that the new website will be unveiled tomorrow. At the end of the week at the latest, but tomorrow would be pretty rockin.
Ann Remotigue is a fellow photographer here in South Florida. When she called me to book the session she said that all she wanted for her birthday were pictures of her family.
Happy Birthday Ann!
I love Lifestyle Sessions. The time I’m able to spend with a family, a couple of hours, really gives me the opportunity to tell a story. Truly capture the interactions and emotions of all family members in a relaxed casual environment.
For more information on scheduling a Lifestyle Session call or email the studio.
This is probably session number 5 with this family over the years. They came by the studio and we played around at a couple of new locations.
I guess this should be considered “friends week” here at the studio. Two blog posts, both with some of my favorite people.
I’ve also known Amy since my fourth grade days at Oakridge Elementary, and she’s known Josh (see yesterday’s post here) since way before that!
If you get the Hollywood Gazette, you’ll recognize this family as January’s Family of the Month.
Enjoy!
Finally getting around to blogging sessions from the Downtown Ft. Lauderdale Mini Sessions that were held back in November. November and December were crazy months here at the studio. We’re all glad to be getting back into a normal routine.
Studio News:
*Matilda Jane Trunk Show on February 2.
*The courtney ortiz photography website will be brand spanking new at the end of the month. Lots of new information as well as some price changes.
This family was one of my first clients, when courtney ortiz photography opened its doors three and half year ago.
I had the pleasure of meeting this family a couple of weeks ago at Vizcaya for a Lifestyle Session. I couldn’t imagine a better way to spend a Sunday morning. Gorgeous weather, gorgeous location, and even more gorgeous family.
In studio news, we are now booking appointments for January. If you missed the holiday portrait “boat”, what a great way to start the new year.
Also, 10 blog comments and this family receives an 8×10!
I could melt in those eyes!
We are totally caught up with our editing here at the studio, which is a good thing. Because starting tomorrow, we have 18 sessions booked in the next 12 days, and believe it or not, 3 more spaces for the November 21, Holiday mini sessions in downtown Ft Lauderdale. That on top of the 9 client sessions in line to be blogged and my head starts to spin. But all of these are wonderful and amazing things. When I sit down for Thanksgiving dinner, I really have so much to be thankful for.
That being said, the next couple of images are of my very dear friends who just recently moved to Chicago. I did a little retrospective when they fist moved. (See it here!). Over the years of play dates and family get togethers, in which I took a lot of pictures, we never had an “official” session. We got one in before they left.
