Meet little “M”. He’s getting ready to celebrate his second birthday! His parents own two, almost three, very successful local restaurants, Shenanigans! It’s one of our family’s favorite places to have an easy, comfortable, kid friendly meal. In fact, “M” and Owen share a very similar head of blond curls.
In the galaxy of Weston, far far away (and believe me, I live in Hollywood. Weston is FAR!) A young Jedi Knight in training had to complete a number of challenges to be witnessed by his closest family and friends.
First, he had to practice the art of the light sabre with his young brother in a special designated and decorated arena.
He had to paint the faces of his friends in the traditional styles of the planet of Tatooine. (By the way….all face painting was done by Keegan!! Body Art by Keegan! AAAAAmazing work! In fact, I want to hire her for my son/daughter birthday party in November.)
Fight the wretched Dark Lord, Darth Vadar with his friend Obi-Wan.
Only to find out later, that Darth Vadar is in fact his father.
He celebrated by filling Darth Vadar’s mask with candy and hung it from a tree!
The young Jedi Knight successfully completed all challenges that were laid before him. The galaxy should sleep easy!
Hi everyone!! I’m so happy and excited to announce, that Candids by Courtney Photography is now Courtney Ortiz Photography. I did this for a few reasons…..#1. people often thought my name was Candace and left messages to that effect on my voicemail, and #2 I really want to make myself the focus of my brand. Kim Price of Kim Price Designs designed my new logo. Her work is amazing!! I’ll be working on building and expanding my brand over the next few weeks/months.
So with all these new changes to my business I thought it only appropriate to completely redo my office space. In the next few months, clients will make appointments to see me after their session to do all ordering in person in my home office.
Here are some photos of my kiddos playing in the mess of boxes outside. We left them out there for a few days of imaginative play. This day it was a boat!
There is always a bit of anxiety that comes with meeting a new client cold. Are we going to “mesh”? Will they be up for any of my crazy ideas? What will they look like?…….. But when this newlywed couple came down to meet me in the lobby of their building, in her Vera Wang gown and hot pink stiletto heels, I knew the photography gods were smiling down on me yesterday! 🙂 There are three words to describe Shira and Yannick….”hot” and “in love!” You see, they were married back in June. A small civil ceremony in Paris, and the large formal wedding in Israel. Unfortunately for the couple, some unforseen circumstances prevented them from having real wedding photographs taken. Well unfortunately for them, but definitely fortunately for me! They were unbelievable to work with. They live in North Miami Beach right on Collins Avenue, and walk down Collins we did. Right straight to the police department. It was an amazing experience!! Thank you Mr. and Mrs. Ayache! CONGRATULATIONS!
She’s absolutely gorgeous! She IS Carrie Bradshaw! (those of you who know me, know what a HUGE Sex and the City fan I am!!)
They are looking for a creative way to say thank you to their guests!
After being together for years, this couple decided a month out that they wanted to get married on July 8, 2009. (7-8-09) So with the help of their family and friends they put together a beautiful intimate wedding. Thank you so much for allowing me to be a part of your day! Congratulations!
I just got back from Tampa this afternoon to find that one of my photos was chosen as “Photo of the Day” yesterday, Wednesday, July 29 by the girls at The Maternal Lens. I’m so honored and proud! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!
Click on the link above to see which one was chosen! It’s quickly become one of my all time favorites!!!!
You know right away whether or not you “click” with a particular family. There are no words to describe how awesome the Gale family is. Warm, genuine, loving……I could go on and on! The session started on the steps of their gorgeous home, and then we finished with a short boat ride into the bay.
I could blog almost every image from their session.
This is Alex. His mom’s about to have a baby any day now. His mom is my very good friend Angelic. We met for the first time during my first set of mini sessions. Alex was 10 months old at the time and I had to CHASE him. We started seeing each other at the park, found out we lived only blocks away and the rest is history. She’s stuck with me! Her son Alex is Owen’s best bud.
Angelic’s belly is big, beautiful, and full of life.
