Flamingo Road Nursery. (Check out their site!!!) It might have to become a regular family session spot. It's absolutely gorgeous with so many different textures and colors.
The girls were definitely teething!

This family and I have been together now for going on one year!!! This was the fourth time I had photographed these gorgeous twin girls, and funny thing is, I was coming back to see them the very next week for their first birthday party. Mom and I have tried to do different things for their sessions. So going with the season mom wanted to do the pumpkin patch thing. Which led us to the Flamingo Road Nursery. (Check out their site!!!) It might have to become a regular family session spot. It’s absolutely gorgeous with so many different textures and colors.
I had every intention of making Owen’s Halloween costume this year. He’s almost three, and I thought it would be a fun activity that he could actually participate in and enjoy. But as is life, Halloween just came a little too quick, and my sister, being totally inspired and motivated, asked if she could make a costume for Owen. To which Lenny and I replied, “Knock yourself out!” One less thing to worry about!! Soooooooo without further ado…….heeeeeeeeeeeeeeere’s
WALL*E!!!!!
This is his back. You see, Wall*e’s been at our house for about a week inorder for Owen to ease into the idea of wearing this on Halloween. (he’s not big into costumes.) So the other day Owen asked me to take a picture of Wall*e. So I did. To make a long story short….a promise of a trip to the donut store, and Owen had on the costume. He passed on the hat because it was a little large for his head (which we have since remedied) and was forward heavy, which means it fell over his face. I had just enough time to snap these few shots!
Meet Avery, Evan, and their gorgeous Mama. They were here on vacation from Switzerland. I met them on the first day of the Janie and Jack mini sessions. They were so much fun and yet so relaxed, which makes my heart sing!
I really feel like I was able to tell a little story about our time together on the beach.
(For anyone who knows me, knows that I LOVE color……but there’s just something about these images in black and white!)
We spent yesterday afternoon walking along the New River in Ft. Lauderdale. They’re expecting their first baby this December. The gender is a secret. They know. They’re just not telling anyone else. Which I hate. I hate not being in the loop. I kept hoping they’d slip up with a “he” or “she”, but nope…they’re good! The vault! They just purchased their first DSLR, a Nikon D60. So I told them to bring it along. I threw in, at no extra charge, a little “Photography for Beginners 101”.
My favorite from the day!!!!!
The next two images were totally inspired by one of my favorite photographers, Tara Whitney. Tara, is an unbelievable family photographer in Southern California. Please take a minute to check out her blog. Her work takes my breath away!
This is when “dad” started getting creative!
Paul and Allison, I wish you the best of luck and the biggest congratulations!!!!

So I just wrapped up three days of mini sessions at the Janie and Jack Children’s Boutique, located in the Village of Merrick Park in Coral Gables. I originally had scheduled 66 sessions! I ended up shooting 38 families. Which really was quite enough. I can’t even imagine what it would’ve been like having shot all 66 sessions. It truly was a great experience as I met so many gorgeous families. When I say gorgeous, it’s an understatement. Over the next few days I’m going to blog some of my favorites.
Check out these two adorable sisters!! We started outside. The Village of Merrick Park is a gorgeous setting.
We then went inside and did some studio work. These girls were naturals!
This next one makes me laugh because I can see my feet!!!!
