I’ve known this family for a couple of years through my involvement with the Greg Wohrle Foundation. Greg’s Foundation is a non profit organization whose mission is to provide funding and education for brain tumor research and respite to those most in need. Their signature annual event is the The Greg Wohrle Feel The Love Fest on Sunday, March 9. The Feel the Love Fest is truly an amazing fun family event. I encourage all of you to check it out, go with your family and have a great time all for a great cause.
On another note, COP is moving! We are moving just down the street into a permanent studio location in downtown Hollywood, located at 2020 Harrison St. The dedicated space will allow for a full range of studio photography options. Expect clean modern and fun studio portraits without the use of heavy props. COP truly focuses on capturing the true essence and personality of your kiddos. Being able to grow into a new space also means more fine art portrait samples and a custom framing department. This spring we will now be offering a full line of framing options. Expect a bigger more formal announcement of the move in the next few days.
First impressions are everything. I always get a sense of excitement mixed with feelings of pride when I send out the client welcome kit to all new clients. The client welcome kit spells out, in detail, every step of the Courtney Ortiz Photography experience from the pre-session consultation to the final fine art portrait options. The client welcome kit answers many questions as well as gives wardrobe advice and portrait display inspiration.
When it comes to design for Courtney Ortiz Photography, I always turn to Design Aglow. For new clients, this package is our opportunity to make a fabulous first impression of our studio, and Design Aglow gave me something that is clean and classic modern that fits perfectly with the COP brand.
Schedule your custom portrait session for spring and you’ll find one of these sitting in your mailbox in the near future.
See you soon,
court
Courtney Ortiz Photography LOVES referrals! Every client welcome kit comes with 5 referral cards. Refer a friend and you both receive a $75 print credit.
Coming from a large family I completely relate to the special bond shared by cousins, so I get very excited when groups of cousins get together and commission portraits together. This is the second group of cousins that came through the studio in the past month. One set lives here in Boca Raton, Fl and the other set lives in Manhattan. Get these 4 kiddos together and it’s a never ending burst of personality and energy.
The weather might be white and snowy across the rest of the country, but it is absolutely the perfect time to get outside with the ones you love and capture it with custom portrait art.
See you soon,
court
The love between the oldest and youngest cousin was so apparent and I feel so lucky that I was able to capture it candidly.
Get a group of five cousins together in downtown Hollywood for a family portrait session and the results are portraits that are fun, one of a kind and modern.
We have BIG news that will be announced in the coming weeks!!!! Stay tuned.
The portrait art experience with Courtney Ortiz Photography doesn’t end until your final piece(s) of art are hanging in your home. (I even provide installation services.) Marcy and I collaborated and designed this grid of portraits for her family room/kitchen. The result is 9 10×10 portraits printed on lustre paper and mounted on a 3/4 inch foam mount, carefully hung in a 3 by 3 grid. The 3/4 inch foam mount are super lightweight and come ready to hang. The look is clean, simple, and modern. I love how all 9 pieces work together to create one giant statement in the room.
There are so many portrait art options available right now. Together we can create a unique piece of portrait art that will fit perfectly with your home decor and budget. I’d love to hear how you dream of incorporating portrait art into your home. 954-558-6893 or shoot me an email courtney@courtneyortiz.com
I met this mom at my salon, Hair Industry 7 years ago. We both just gave birth to our first sons, and we were both getting our hair done for the first time since delivery. Sans baby, sans husband, time out ALONE! Hard to come by with a newborn in the house. Fast forward 7 years, she has become one of my most special friends.
We had a great, yet abnormally warm morning for December, at one of my favorite new spots in Downtown Hollywood. The family’s wardrobe was thanks to Ashley Sloane of A Little Style.
Alexander is hands down one of the cutest and happiest babies I’ve ever photographed. His smile is contagious and I just wanted to eat him up. This family is only here in South Florida for a year while Dad is participating in a medical fellowship at Miami Children’s Hospital. This summer they travel back home to San Francisco. I’m so happy I was able to capture this time for them.
Meet Jay. He’s an adorable little boy who’s mama is a major mover and shaker here in South Florida. Stacy Boegem is a coach and president of the Ft Lauderdale chapter of Femfessionals. Stacy empowers professional women who are getting back into the workforce after being home with their children. She’s compassionate, motivating, and inspiring. A major force to be reckoned with. I just want to soak up every minute I spend with her, and even be able to save some for those days when I need a lift.
Watch out for Stacy Boegem! You’ll be hearing a lot more about her in 2014.
9 days till Christmas and it seems to be snowing everywhere in the United States but in South Florida. And as much as a white Christmas might be nice, there’s something to be said for going to the beach in December.
Four times a charm. I’ve been watching these two handsome kiddos grow up since 2010. There’s just something amazing about the sense of familiarity that comes with lasting client relationships.
