These two cuties stopped by the studio a few weeks ago for their holiday portrait. Mom is owner of Pretty Please Couture, a fabulous boutique in Ft. Lauderdale. We were able to check out the latest mural in the Downtown Hollywood Mural Project by artist Logan Hicks. I’m loving the new landscape in the Downtown Hollywood area. My backdrops are always changing and the inspiration is never ending.
The studio is closed from now until January 4. We are available by appointment only. I am currently booking custom portrait sessions both in the studio and on location for January. Schedule your session for January before the end of 2015 and receive a $100 credit to be used towards your order.
This gorgeous girlie has more personality in her pinky than most adults have in their entirety. She’s smart, funny, and super motivated. We’re going to see alot from Joey, I can just feel it.
Portrait sessions for 2015 have officially come to a close. I feel like elves in Santa’s workshop as we hurry to get prints and holiday cards out all of our amazing clients. When your custom portrait session begins at 8:30 in the morning, you arrive at the studio still in your jammies. And there’s no other word to describe that but “adorable”.
We are almost finished with all of our holiday portrait sessions at the studio. This Saturday is the last day we are photographing families. We will be open until December 19, and then we will be closed until the first week of January. Time for us to take a breather and spend some holiday time with our families.
It has been such a pleasure meeting so many new clients and reconnecting with old ones. 2015 will definitely go down as the best year yet.
New murals going up around the studio makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside. This amazing undersea turtle mural is done by none other fantastic artist, Ernesto Maranje. It’s only a fraction of the beauty that is across the street from the studio. We were lucky to get down there and grab a few portraits before it started to pour. Ernesto was working on it when we stopped and we were lucky enough to meet him.

Lifestyle family portrait session at a horse ranch?!? Yes, PLEASE!!!! Gorgeous location, gorgeous girls, and gorgeous light. Every image from this family’s custom portrait session was a winner. These few in particular really make me smile.
As I close up the studio for the Thanksgiving holiday, it really gives me time to reflect on all that I’m thankful for.
I just celebrated my 12th wedding anniversary with the most amazing partner in crime. I have three amazing children that I get to be with everyday both at school and at home and this amazing business that started as just a thought over 8 years ago. Courtney Studios has given me the opportunity and flexibility to be the best woman, wife, and mother that I could ever imagine. I’m the luckiest girl in the world and I’m truly blessed.
Sometimes I just have to pinch myself. I’m “living the dream”.

I’ve been getting out of the studio and shooting outside recently and it honestly feels great to get out and spread my wings a bit. So I was thrilled to take this family to one of my favorite spots in downtown Hollywood…the roof of the parking garage.
This family is beautiful, fun and really weren’t afraid to let their love shine.
This is the last weekend to to be photographed with guaranteed holiday (Christmas) delivery. We have two spots available on Sunday.

Halloween was a little over two weeks ago, but it’s never too late to share the amazing portraits of the kiddos who came out for our “Trick or Treat to Benefit Mobile School Pantry” event at Courtney Studios. I am overwhelmed by the participation and support of so many friends in the community. With your support, we raised enough money to provide a complete Thanksgiving dinner to 10 families in Hollywood. Together we definitely can make a difference to children in South Florida and say “NO” to hunger.
This has been a wonderful journey with this family. I started photographing them a year ago when they started the “Pick 3: Your year in pictures” portrait package. Maternity, newborn, and now to the first birthday.
